On Time Travel

Why does science-fiction have the monopoly on time travel narratives? Any disruption or deviation from clock-time is a form of time travel. Transcontinental flights, days you forget to wear your watch, Commercial skipping DVRs are all versions of time travel.

Time machines are not time vehicles. The device by which time travel is possible is not one of transportation but simply disruption. To think of a mold as a time machine is to consider the stunting of time through repetition. The mold allows the same moment to occur again and again and again.
